Big risks. Big rewards

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Big things require big actions.

Risking it all is self-explanatory. The payoff will be outsized, while the reverse will be dicey.

Life is a series of chances. You can play it safe and conservatively or go all in.

I've been on both ends of this spectrum. Playing it safe has its pros. There's peace of mind knowing "you are in control" of any minor/non-event that comes your way. It's not too shabby. However, it won't pay out any outsized gains. Perhaps slow and steady wins the race? Only time will tell.

On the flip side, big risks offer the opportunity for a massive win fall or a big haircut. There's stress in these here lands. No way around that.

Your perspective on this risk and how you frame it is key.

For example, what is the worst that could happen? Map it out. What happens if the risk goes sideways? Are you back at square one? Is there a fallback to plan B, C, or D?

Once you've answered these questions. Evaluate:

Is the juice worth the squeeze?

Usually.

Just try to make sure you don't squeeze too hard.
